MTV must have really wanted to talk to Kurt Cobain — why else would the TV network have hired a psychic to contact the Nirvana frontman?
Did somebody say publicity stunt? No way — that doesn’t sound like MTV, home to critically acclaimed shows like “16 and Pregnant” and “Jersey Shore.”
MTV brought in psychic Fahrusha to channel Cobain so he could accept an O Award for best vintage viral video for the Nirvana song “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
Did anyone tell MTV that there are two perfectly good — and, more importantly, alive — members of Nirvana still wandering around? Krist Novoselic is busy tweeting things, and Dave Grohl is singing in Foo Fighters.
Nevermind, MTV. (Nirvana pun not intended.) You go right ahead and channel Cobain.
